Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of arlo.ads (the "Service"), operated by Namos Labs ("Arlo," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

The Service

Arlo is a newsletter advertising platform that connects newsletter creators ("Creators") with sponsors ("Sponsors") for booking, managing, and paying for sponsorship slots. Creators list availability and pricing; Sponsors book slots, submit ad creative, and pay through the Service.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. Authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Payments and fees

Payments and payouts are processed through Stripe and Stripe Connect. Creators must connect a valid Stripe account to receive payouts. Fees, platform commission, and payout timing are disclosed at the time of booking and in our pricing documentation. You authorize us to instruct Stripe to charge and disburse funds according to the bookings you make or accept.

Bookings, cancellations, and disputes

A booking is a binding commitment between a Creator and a Sponsor. Cancellation, rescheduling, and refund handling depend on the timing of the request relative to the scheduled send date. We may assist with disputes between parties but are not a party to the underlying agreement between Creator and Sponsor.

Ad creative and content

Sponsors are responsible for the accuracy and legality of submitted ad creative. Creators may approve, reject, or request changes to creative before it runs. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

Acceptable use

• No fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal use of the Service
• No circumventing the Service to avoid fees on a booking made through Arlo
• No uploading malicious code, or attempting to interfere with the Service's infrastructure
• No scraping or bulk-collecting data from the Service without our written consent

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Neon (database), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), and Netlify (hosting). Their availability affects our ability to provide the Service, and their own terms may apply to the parts of the Service they power.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraud, or pose a risk to other users. Obligations related to completed or in-progress bookings survive termination.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arlo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including disputes between Creators and Sponsors.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where significant, announced on our changelog. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
